He is the author of Prudens Futuri: History of U.S. Army War College and The Cadet Chapel, United States Military Academy. Interesting perspective on a venerable institution

By chance I found this in a small bookstore. Did not know it previously existed. I have seen and read various books on West Point. Most are general histories dating back to its creation. I am finding that books with a twist or unique perspective are more interesting. This book focuses on the 1st 100 years up to MacArthur's days at the turn of the century. Fair amount of coverage prior to 1802 based on some detailed research. Lots of previously unknown details. Some of the names that I had to memorize as a plebe, come to life in this book. Some are not the sterling images of yore. Book sheds an interesting light on topics taken for granted.
